Hello, I need help setting up SuiteCRM https://suitecrm.com/download in a jail on FreeNAS. I am more comfortable now about jails and nginx and mysql. Let me know how this can be achieved. Anybody have any idea/suggestion?

Looks like a heck of an install that assumes you already know how to install and configure a webserver, database server, PHP, etc. : https://suitecrm.com/wiki/index.php/Installation.
Yeah, I can do it on a centos VM, but I wanted to just have a standard jail. Can anybody help me? In this video, the guy shows how to do it within centos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcrP9tuouX0 I was thinking that all that needed to be done was turn the centos commands into freenas commands (like "yum install" into "pkg install") I can follow directions very well, i just need a bit of help.

Anybody have any suggestions, guidelines, ideas? Thanks in advance!

ITS DONE! What I did was follow a FAMP/LAMP guide made by digitalocean (HERE). After tweaking, installing additional dependacies and things, it worked like a charm, on my raid 0 ssd's, the thing is a beast..! Thanks..!

Hi,

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I am attempting to do exactly this - install SuiteCRM in a jail. What you have posted here has helped a lot but I'm not able to run the install.php file. I keep getting error 500.

I'm not sure I have installed every prerequisite but i have these...

php56-5.6.30
php56-curl-5.6.30
php56-dom-5.6.30
php56-gd-5.6.30
php56-imap-5.6.30
php56-json-5.6.30
php56-mbstring-5.6.30
php56-mysql-5.6.30
php56-mysqli-5.6.30
php56-simplexml-5.6.30
php56-xml-5.6.30
php56-xmlreader-5.6.30
php56-xmlrpc-5.6.30
php56-xmlwriter-5.6.30

Apache, PHP and MySQL appear to be running OK. I've used the group www and user www to set the file permissions and I've tested a simple html and php file OK so I don't think it's a permissions issue.

I've found mention of an Apache error log, but all I can find is /var/log/httpd-error.log and that doesn't show any errors.

Any idea what else I might need to do please?

Many Thanks

Paul
