Servers not seeing files copied by other servers via ISCSI to FreeNAS

I have two windows 2008 R2 servers connected to a FreeNAS via ISCSI. Each server shows the FreeNAS as the E:\ drive. When server one copies files to the FreeNAS the second server doesn't see the newly copied files and vice versa. If I reboot the servers they show the newly copied files. Its like ISCSI isn't updating the servers in real time. I am wondering if I have something setup wrong or is this normal? I was hoping to use FreeNAS via ISCSI as a backup drive for my servers but if servers don't see files copied from other servers I am worried about corruption and FreeNAS running out of space because the servers aren't registering drive activity correctly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Unless you are running a CLUSTERING service on those servers, then you are risking your data and connecting more than one server to an iscsi target is a dumb idea, unless you know what you are doing.

indeed, give them seperate iscsi volumes to connect to, or use a network share
