see recently added files/folders

Hey,

i plan to set up a selfmade nas with freenas.

we will use it with several people and so my question is if it is possible to see recently added files/folders?

Assuming it's been set up correctly, with the proper permissions, the files will show up instantly.

i meant something like a virtual folder where i can see f.e. the last 10 files oder folders that have been moved to the nas.

if i send a mp3 to /mp3/2013/bla/album/...
so he doenst need to go to all these folder and can just go to /latestFiles where he can find a link to the file

hope u know what i mean ;)

this is available on ftp-servers f.e. but i dont want to send everything by ftp

Nothing like that is part of FreeNAS. You could create such a thing if you are handy with Unix shell scripting, or your workstation OSes might be able to do something similar with a filesystem query.
