Hi,
we have two Supermicro servers, SuperStorage Server 6048R-E1CR36N, with FreeNAS installed. They are equipped with 11 SAS disks in both of them and some SSD. They are ok. In one of them we have also 11 Seagate Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD 4K 8TB 3.5" SATA-60 - here are the problem. FreeNAS recognize them as 1TB disks (not fun).
Are there someone ho have solved this or know how to?

Have you flashed the motherboard and HBA with the latest BIOS/firmware?

What is the model number of the 8TB Seagate drives you are using? The only Seagate 8TB HDD on Supermicro's 'Tested HDD' list for the AOC-S3108L-H8IR-O-P controller supplied with your server is the ST8000NM0075, a SAS-3 model.

You'll probably be best served to just ask Supermicro technical support; I've found them to be fairly responsive over the years.

Good luck!
