scrub speed and areca 1210 1230

Hello,
I switched from areca 1210, a 4 port raid card, to areca 1230, a 12 port one.
When scrubing with 1210, the speed is around 300mbps, it becomes about half (150mbps) using 1230....
two scenarios are exactly the same except for the raid cards (it is the same box, only the raid cards were swapped).
Is there an obvious reason for this?? Thanks

p.s. the raid card is configured as jbod , not in the raid mode. Sorry for the confusion

Probably because the driver support for Areca isn't all that great, and you should be attaching your disks directly to FreeNAS rather than running through a RAID controller anyways.
