SAS Drive Firmware Updates

I'm about to take delivery of 9 x HGST HUH721010AL5200 SAS HDDs to replace my 8 x 4Tb HDDs of mixed brands (1 for spare). All 8 drives are in a RAIDZ2 pool and I will be replacing the $Tb drives one at a time until all 8 are replaced (and the pool expands).

I would prefer to update the firmware for the drives to the latest available (LHGNA9U0?). I can add the sq3 utils (I have a deb for v1.48 and associated lib), or, I have read there is a tool called "hugo" which can be used?

Does anybody have experience with this and doing firmware updates to SAS drives from TrueNAS Scale? Any instructions around? Any guidance is appreciated.
