This machine is not for production just for my own homelab.
Is it possible to pass my Samsung 950 PRO m2 SSD as an RDM from ESXi in to my virtual FreeNAS?
All my other disks are connected to FreeNAS thru my M1051(IT mode) using PCI passthrough.
But i cant connect my m2 disk thru that controller?
So would it work even if it's not optimal to pass RDM from ESXi into FreeNAS?

This machine aint using any server grade components except the M1051 controller and a Chelsio 10GBE networkcard. The MB is an Asus z170, with 32GB of DDR4 non ECC memory, Intel i7 6700K, 8xWD RED 3TB disk, 2x4TB WD Red and 4x Samsung 850 EVO 120GB SSD's. I've got an Samsung 950 PRO M2 SSD and one Samsung 840 PRO SSD i dont know what i should do with and my first thought was that the 950 would be a god SLOG device.

My primary use is for storing my media collection but also running diffrent lab vm's on it

No. Under no circumstances should RDM ever be used with FreeNAS.
