Hello All,

I noticed this afternoon that the ZFS Report is showing much higher L2ARC cache usage than the size of the cache SSD I installed.

Is this normal or have I set something up incorrectly?
Hardware is listed in signature.

Looked into the history on the reports and it looks like its been continuously growing in size.

I've been seeing the same thing. I have a 240GB L2ARC SSD, but the L2ARC is running over 400GB in size:

I found a related FreeBSD bug report (Bug 216364), but it was closed with status 'not a bug'. One of the commenters suggested that compression may be the explanation.

I dunno... Seems odd to me.

EDIT: Oh! BTW, welcome to the forum!

Think I saw someone report this before. Suspect it's fixed in 11-RC

Hopefully thats the case, most of my storage is media so not a lot of compression there but the jails are probably pretty easily compressed.

If thats the case then I'll probably keep an eye out for problems and wait for the fix to promote to a stable build.
