Reinstalled Freenas, pool doesn't show up when importing existing pool

I had to reinstall Freenas after the previous installation was corrupted. Upon trying to import the existing pool from the GUI, the pool isn't listed. I've read I have to export the pool first but the old installation is unavailable for this task. The documentation doesn't seem to say what to do in this situation. What is the correct course of action to import my pool?

Information about the setup:
6 drives in raidz2
Freenas detects all drives
Previous installation was largely default
Fresh installation is default
Previous and fresh installations are the same version

I just had to deal with this same issue. For starters, did you upload your saved config file? If you didn't backup your config file then you're in trouble. After you upload your config you can run zpool status to see if the pool was showing up. If you see the pool here then you can try zpool export "pool name" and then reboot and when the system comes back online try to import the pool again in the GUI.
