Random (graceful) shutdowns

Hi,

I've had my system running for about five years, currently on 11.3-U4.1. I have had a couple of dodgy drives since day 1, and was getting a little nervous about the error count so I replaced and resilvered one of the drives over the course of the past day or so. It took a long time but got there in the end (a lot of ATA status 41 error 10). I then installed a PCI-E Sata card and tried to install an SSD, which didn't go so well as it was hanging with ATA error 5 codes. I'll tackle that chestnut later.

I have gone back to my USB thumb drive that I've been using (a relatively new one since they fail periodically) and while it booted up fine, and shows the pool status is healthy, it proceeded to shutdown of its own accord after about 10 minutes. Subsequent trials yielded the same result - sometimes as short as 3 minutes til shutdown. It shuts down all services gracefully and in fact, appears as though I have clicked "shutdown" in the GUI, except I haven't.

In the last boot up I've managed to grab all the debug info, I guess my question is, having not had these issues (and exhausted google) - where would I start with log files? Any idea what the issues might be?

Edit: It isn't temperatures, as CPU temps are around 30-40C

Of course, the system has now been running an hour and 25m without shutdown, but I've got some concerns around the stability. My plan in the short term is to update to the latest U5 on new USB keys and then try the SSD again at a later date, but I'd like to know what caused the shutdowns before I go down that path...

Thanks very much for any insights
