Question on Jail Templates - Can I delete them?

I recently upgraded from freenas 9.1 to 9.2.1.2, and I ended up creating some new jails to move to the newer versions of the plug-ins available.

I noticed that there are several different plug-in templates showing up in storage. Since I only have 2 jails total (two different plug-ins), and three templates I'm confused, and guessing that these are left from the old version of FreeNAS I was running.

Attached are the jail templates that are showing up in my build.
Could someone identify if I can delete any/all of these templates, and whether deleting them will destroy my plug-in jails?
Will deleting them stop me creating jails in the future?

Thanks in advance.

Not 100% sure, I don't even think it will allow you to delete the template so long as you still have jails that were made from it as I believe the jails are cloned snapshots of the template.

It won't. However, there's at least one ticket in bugs.freenas.org where a user wished they hadn't deleted the templates as it messed up their ability to add new jails.

You can "promote" the jails, which effectively makes the template depend on the jail. This can get tricky if you have multiple jails and you might have trouble getting the jail to be a leaf.

But, it's probably not worth it anyway.

OK, sounds like I need to be careful with them, but is there any way to identify which ones relate to old jails that no longer exist?
