Problems with DDNS

I tried with no-ip and freedns, but it just doesn't work. Whenever I turn on the service nothing happens, it doesn't change the ip so I could connect to the server with domain address. I want to have that configured only so I can set up VPN and nextcloud, but because of this issue I'm unable to. Does anyone know what I'm missing or what I should do?

So update, I just had enough with everything and bought a domain from namecheap. I followed this and did exacly as said here:

Namecheap Dynamic DNS

This is based off of Truenas Core 12.0-U8. If you're running -U5, upgrade. It's not worth the trouble to try and figure out a way to setup the cert store. Select Services, set Dynamic DNS to start automatically, then click on the pencil icon to configure the settings. Under Provider, select...

If put this into browser it updates correctly, but of course that is not dynamic. It seems to me that either the service doesn't actually start or something similar, but I don't know how to check if the service is actually running. Please if anyone knows can you help?
