Hello,
I have a problem with my new FreeNAS system.
I use an USB device for my operation system and have 5 hdd discs in a ZFS raid.
Additionally I'd like to use a second USB device for log files, bash scripts and json files.
I mounted this USB as a second ZFS disc in the web GUI and I have full access to it. cron jobs execute the scrips, my iPad can access the json files and display them. Everything works great.
But when I shutdown the NAS system there seems to occur an error. I don't know what it is, but the NAS hardware doesn't turn off. An external monitor shows that it kind of freezes while it shuts down. When I remove the external USB device the NAS shuts down without any trouble.

Is this a general problem or can I configure the USB device or something inside the NAS or BIOS to make it work.
I don't want to store the files on the USB device on my hdd's because these scripts write files all the time and I want my hdd's to spin down.
