Problem accessing VM after upgrade from Core to Scale

After upgrading from Core to Scale, I can't access my Ubuntu VM via the original IP anymore. I played around with the NIC options in the devices of the VM but I can't seem to get the newly added NIC to show up. It would be great if somebody could point me in the right direction!
