Possible memory leak

After issue #4759 has been fixed, I suspect a new memory leak:

top -o size

reports “istgt” as most memory consuming process. Is this worth submitting a bug report? As far as I understand “istgt” is being phased out in the upcoming releases in favour of another implementation.

You can submit a report. I'd say unless you are willing to give developers access to your box it will probably end up being closed to "unable to reproduce".

Also keep in mind that the ticket you linked has the guy claiming a memory leak or equivalent with no services except SSH, so clearly you aren't in that bug specifically.

If they do fix the other non-reproducible bugs unique to my system, too (e.g. #4737), then I'm totally up for that, yes. :) On the other hand, if only I am seeing this memory leak (for whatever reason) then it probably doesn't make much sense to spend considerable time on tracing down the issue if the code will be replaced soon anyway.

It was me who reported the other bug. Glad that it had been fixed I was surprised to still see my swap usage ramp up. Hence this post. But I agree it was a totally different bug.
