Hello everyone, FreeNAS noob here,

Just got back from vacation and couldn't access my SMB shares. Everything looked fine in the FreeNAS WebUI, but when I logged in to my server via Dell's IDRAC this error was present:

The zpools are online with no degredation and I'm currently running some SMART tests on the disks. Could the error mean my LSI card is failing?

When I run sas2flash -list -c 0, everything looks fine:

, but when I run sas2flash -list -c 1 and 2 I get this same error for each command:

If someone has a link to any troubleshooting guides for my issue I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again for any help!

Are we to assume you have more then one HBA?
If so what output does sas2flsh -listall give you?
what are you server specs?

That is why you are getting "Due to error remaining commands will not be executed."

The commend sas2flash -c 1 -list is what you use when you are trying to pull info from the second HBA in your system.

The output of sas2flash -c 0 -list looks good.

Are you using a break out cable from your HBA to connect to your drives or are you using a server chassis with hot-swaps bays and a SAS to SAS cable?

Howdy,

I'm using the Dell R710 backplane/hot swaps. I ordered a new set of cables, just in case they're the cause of my issues. I'll update when they arrive tomorrow.

Here's the output of sas2flash -listall:

It could also be a backplane or drive problem. If the cables don't fix the issue you could power down, swap da3 and da2, then power up. If the error da3 continues then it's the backplane if it moves to da2 the it's a drive
