Hello all,
I am brand new to TRUENAS and I just finished setting it up about a week ago, I need some help on figuring out how to portfoward the truenas so that i can access the files on it from outside the local internet. like i said, i am new to this so i will greatly appreciate any input. Thanks,

Devin

You should probably think about a few factors... security being the first.

If you don't want just anyone accessing (and maybe messing with) the contents of your TrueNAS server, you should be using something like nextcloud with a reverse proxy in front of it to provide SSL (actually TLS these days) security.

Make absolutely sure you don't open any ports directly to the TrueNAS server. (forwarding ports to jails with the right services running is the way to do it).
