Poor LAN Performance

I just wanted to update everyone on the status of this problem. I figured out the problems I was having was related to a bad NIC card in my desktop machine. Apparently it was on its way out. The NIC was slowly getting worse. It would slow itself down and then eventually stop working and I would get a loss internet connection. This had been happening every now and then and I didn't think about it but then it started happening more frequently, like once an hour vice every other day or so. I replaced the NIC and now everything seems to be working nicely. My speeds are back up to where they should be around 850Mb per sec. Nice! Thanks everyone for helping on this.
