Plex Media Server on FreeNAS 9.3 - Remote?

Hello and thanks in advance for whatever help is given.

I'm new to FreeNAS, started using it about 2 days ago with the main intent of running a Plex Media server from it. I've been running a Plex Media Server from my PC for sometime and that have been working fine but now I'm taking the step into the NAS world.

My promlem is that i can't seem to access the server remotly. Not by browser or by app.
If I go through the FreeNAS WebGUI or by local IP adress and port number I can access it through my browser.
If I enter Plex Media Server Settings - Server - Remote Access it shows that my server is accessable remotly.
I'm logged in with same account on both servers and on the app.

Does anyone have any suggestions or even sulutions?

What do you mean by access remotely? From outside your LAN? How are you testing? What error message do you see?

Yes that's correct, from outside my LAN. I don't get any error message. The server just don't show up in the menu.

Are you forwarding the port or relying on UPNP?

I have the port manually forwarded in my router/modem.

I haven't opened any ports for FreeNAS to use though. Can that be the problem?
If yes, what ports to open? I haven't found that information anywhere.
