I'm new to Freenas. (I've installed it yesterday.)

I want to setup the freenas as a separate computer and not member of a network.
It's going to be used as a ftp-server. (Yes, very old fashioned, but still useful.)

I've created users and every user has it's own folder.
The external users are allowed to make folders in their home-folder, but they are not allowed to remove folders and files.
The internal users are allowed to remove folders and files.

Is this possible with Freenas?

Thank you for answering

The same permission that controls making a folder is the same permission to delete it. So you can't have one without the other. Not with standard *nix permissions that is.

You may what to tunnel those "external" FTP users through SSH.
