I have an older AMD Athlon x64 w/ 32 GB RAM running TrueNas Scale Cobia on bare metal. I had 3x 1TB drives in RAIDZ1 which have filled up. I have been attempting to upgrade to 3x 8 TB SATA drives but keep running into a kernel issue. Two drives replace fine. The third drive replaces fine but when I click on the expand button I receive an error on partprobe. Then the this drive drops our and my pool is degraded.
I have tried a couple of different drives, different cables and SATA ports and the result is always the same.
Next step is to destroy my pool and restore from a snapshot but that is my last resort.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
