I recently generated a debug report in freenas and i noticed that the part number of my ram does not match what I ordered . I bought the crucial CT102472BD160B which is on the QVL list for the ASrock C2750D4I, however the debug report in dmidecode reports an entirely different part number (still from Micron/crucial).

I was wondering if I should look into getting these replaced given the following:

Memory Device
Array Handle: 0x0027
Error Information Handle: Not Provided
Total Width: 64 bits
Data Width: 64 bits
Size: 8192 MB
Form Factor: DIMM
Set: None
Locator: DIMM1
Bank Locator: BANK 0
Type: DDR3
Type Detail: Synchronous Unbuffered (Unregistered)
Speed: 1600 MHz
Manufacturer: Micron
Serial Number: 13241420
Asset Tag: 1BANK 0 DIMM1 AssetTag
Part Number: 18KSF1G72AZ-1G6E1

Configured Clock Speed: 1600 MHz

thanks

Allow me to quote myself from the Supermicro X10 RAM guide:

Crucial is Micron's consumer brand, and Crucial memory is very easy to find (and can be bought directly from Crucial on their website, at reasonable prices and low or no shipping fees).

Particularly, Crucial has the following DIMM model:

CT102472BD160B (Single DIMM)
CT2KIT102472BD160B (Two DIMMs)

Which turns out to be just a rebrand of Micron's

MT18KSF1G72AZ-1G6E1

If you look at the DIMMs, you'll see two stickers: The Crucial one and the original Micron one.
