owncloud cant see freenas volumes

Hi,

I am currently moving away from windows server to freenas.

I have freenas installed and zfs setup ok, I have installed plex successfully and am now trying to setup owncloud so that I can use it to see my NAS contents remotely (*through a browser).

at a high level my volumes are laid out thus:-

• storage <-- volume
  • music <-- dataset
    • artist albums
    • compilation albums
  • pictures <-- dataset
  • video <-- dataset

I have the plugin installed and can browse the webui fine. I am now trying to add storage from freenas into the Jail.

I have added one storage item source.. "/mnt/storage/music" destination "/media/music" restarted the jail, restarted the plugin ... nothing new shows up in owncloud ui. there are two directories in the mnt point (artist albums and compilation albums, i have setup a cifs share to the music mnt point and can browse these folders over the network).

if i browse to the jail and go to the cli I can ls into the storage (/mnt/storage/music) and see the directories there.

please help, what am i doing wrong.

as a test I chmod 0777 the /media directory of the jail and still cannot see anything!
