I have two P3700s (400GB) I snagged on a hell of a deal on eBay. The long-term plan is to run one as SLOG and one as L2ARC, but I only have one PCIe slot and I'm waiting on a proper 8x PCIe to 2x SFF-8639 that will hopefully work (MOBO supports PCIe bifurcation). For now, I assume L2ARC is going to give me the best results since my pool rarely sees sync writes.
How can I setup over-provisioning? The drive shows up under disks in the WebUI, and diskinfo runs fine on it; however, as it's NVMe, camcontrol doesn't list it, and gpart doesn't appear to want anything to do with nvme0 or nvd0. I could presumably forward it to a Linux system and setup the HPA, but is there a way to do it from FreeNAS?
