At our office we have a shared drive using Truenas 12.0.
One specific user (userid 1001) frequently has an issue where he will suddenly lose the ability to write to the drive.
When I look up his connection, it shows his user id as 65534, which is apparently the default ID of a "nobody" or guest user.
When he restarts his computer, it reconnects with his proper userid and he can write again to the drive.
He is working from a laptop that he connects to a docking station at work. The docking station is connected via Ethernet.
Does anyone know what might be causing his session to be switched to a guest session? Could it have to do with his computer's connection switching between wifi and ethernet?
No one else on the network is having this problem.
Thanks, David.
