no such user on cifs share

Hi all,
I've installed the latest freenas for amd64, I configured a zfs volume and dataset, created a share cifs on such dataset and set the authentication to local user. I tried to access to the share from a linux machine using the user that is unix owner of the share, but in the samba logs I found that the access is denied due to NO_SUCH_USER error:

Authentication for user [dataflex] -> [dataflex] FAILED with error NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER

I activated the "allow guest access" option and then it worked, but this is wrong, I'd like to have per-user access.
Any idea?

I forgot to mention that I tried also to do a

smbpasswd -a dataflex

to manually add the user to the smb password database, but the log reported the same error.
Any idea?

Did you try restarting CIFS? Did you try the latest version? (8.0.1-RC2)
