NIC's not recognized HP DL370 gen6

I have this HP DL370 gen6 with plenty of storage and ram that I want to utilize for some simple storage needs. I download and install FreeNAS, FreeNAS-11.2-RELEASE-U1.

Everything installs on, looks fine. I have a static IP ready to plug into the config, but it seems no nics are detected. I drop to the console and do a ifconfig, and all I see is the loopback interface. Could the firmware on the embedded nic cards be too old? Any thoughts on how to move forward?

You could try adding a different PCIe NIC card. Otherwise my guess would be that the onboard NIC's are disabled or not supported. If they aren't supported in an older version on that vintage hardware, it seems very unlikely that they would be supported by a newer version.
