NFSv4 with Kerberos - Freenas running KDC possible?

As a newbie I'm about to setup freenas as my home server. My network is pretty small just 3 Linux laptops with ~4 different users. I've used NFS long years ago and was always concerned by relying solely on client side UIDs and IP numbers for access. Maybe running NFSv4 with Kerberos is kind of overkill here.

Is it possible to run a Kerberos KDC on the Freenas box directly? I don't want to have multiple machines around. If the answer is no, I guess the fallback would be to run KDC via virtualbox/jail/docker in a virtualized way. Anyone already done this? Maybe even some "howto" style documentation on such kind of a setup out there?
