I have a FreeNAS 11.1-u1 on a supermicro server with a Xeon E5-2620 and 128GB of RAM with 3 RaidZ3 volumes of ~50TB each. Under each volume I have a dataset. I can mount them as NFS3 and read/write all day long. When I try NFS 4, I can't write. I created a user, with it's own group and gave it full access to the datastore and the NFS share for that datastore. Then used NFS4 on ESXi 6.5U1 and used those creds. Mounts fine, doesn't say read-only but doesn't allow write. I even tried using root. No avail.
I want to have multiple datasets under a volume with permissions to a specific user account and use that account to mount that single NFS share. Each dataset will hold VM's for a different client and I want them fully segregated.
