New to Free Nas (New Build)

Hello, I will be setting up Free Nas sometime in December will be setting it up on a Asus Gene3 micro atx board,12gb of ram. Cpu is intel i7 960. And using two 4tb drives or maybe 6tb drives. I am new and might have some questions as I build this and config it.

A 10 year old CPU, on a ridiculous gamer motherboard, no ECC on the platform possible. At least that board has a decent Intel NIC.

We've seen worse.

Good luck sir, we'll try to help you, but that's not FreeNAS-community recommended hardware, even though I suspect it should work.

I'm hoping it will be better than what I'm running now it's just a netgear nas 102 only 512mb of ram crazy slow.
