Im having an issue where when setting up a new jail, no matter what physical interface I select, its always trying to use igb1. I have 2 physical interfaces in use, igb0 and igb1. When I select igb0 as the interface, the host uses igb1. Previously i was messing around with bridges and the igb1 interface, but its currently back to a stock state. I have other hosts on the igb1 interface that are working fine. Any ideas why?

Are both igb0 and igb1 on the same subnet?

no, igb0 uses 10.10.10.0/24 and igb1 uses 10.10.15.0/24. I have hosts on both networks that work fine, if i setup a new vm and select igb0 that works fine, it seems to just be jails, when i setup a new jail, when i choose igb0, it puts the host on igb1 network.

The simple jail i am trying to setup, but this happens with all jails, its not a zoneminder specific issue.

Here are my interfaces

this is how i know the traffic is going out the wrong interface, this is the device here from when i manually assigned the IP address 10.10.10.93, however its showing up on my "external" vlan which is the 10.10.15.0/24 network. Whenever i try to setup the jail, i get an error message that either it doesnt get a DHCP address, this is because the 10.10.15.0/24 network has no DHCP server. The 10.10.10.0/24 has a DHCP server which is working just fine. If i manually assigned an IP address to the jail in the 10.10.10.0/24 range, i get an error message that it cant reach the internet/default gateway and my ubiquiti router shows the MAC on the external vlan, which is 10.10.15.0/24 range. I am also 100% sure its not a switching issue as I have other hosts in the 10.10.15.0/24 and 10.10.10.0/24 networks that work just fine, so its not a vlan issue. Both interfaces are configured as access ports for their respective vlans on the switch connected to the Truenas igb0 and igb1 interfaces.

So i found a work around for this, I think this should be officially investigated as a bug?

I setup a zoneminder jail using the Plugin feature. I set it up initially on the 10.10.15.0/24 network and it worked, installed and was accessible. I then powered it off and moved it to the 10.10.10.0/24 network and powered it back up, it didnt work. Was not accessible, rebooted the TrueNAS server and its now fully accessible and operating normally on the 10.10.10.0/24 network.
