hello everybody:
i'm a really new new user.
i'm still building my NAS, based on a mobo Jetway with 6 SATA3, 4GB soDIMM, 6 HDD (WD and Seagate different models) and a Fractal Design Node 304.
I want to run FreeNAS onto a USB stick plugged in.
But the general question is:
I dont' want to create any RAID, I have 6 HDD (plenty of data; files, music, videos etc...). I only want to install FreeNAS, and then recognize the HDD without losing data. Is this possible?. I don't have the possibility to backup ALL data.
