New Build two 9300-8i no drives.

New Build 9300-8i no drives. Any help is appreciative. I need to deploy this shortly

I have 2 9300-8i controllers.

FreeNas Alert: "Firmware version 5 does not match driver version 9 for /dev/mpr0"

I upgraded both controllers to firmware v9 and the alerts are now cleared. However no drives still :(

I bypassed controllers and connected MB to backplane and drives show.

Do I need to upgrade the driver to latest along with firmware?

Did you flash those 9300's to IT mode? What kind of cables are you using to connect the 9300's to the backplane?

Yes flashed IT firmware using the P9 package.

Try hooking a drive directly to the cable instead of going through the backplane.

already tried that no luck.

I tried sata from the mb to backplane and the disk shows.

thus ruling out the backplane as an issue.

No drives show in the HBA BIOS. I believe they are suppose to show in "SAS Topology" section.
I've tried the following drives without luck.
WD Red pro 4TB
Dell Seagate Cheetas 600GB 15k
