Networking issues after upgrade

I just tried to upgrade Scale from 23.10.1 to 23.10.1.3 and I can't make networking work any more.
I have already rolled back the upgrade and re-uploaded the settings, to no avail.

The server is connected to the network and accessible, but I can only ping within the local network, but not anything behind the local gateway.

What's wrong with this network config?

  • My router is on 10.10.10.1.
  • I have already tried to add a static route 0.0.0.0/0 -> 10.10.10.1, but did not make any difference.
  • The router works fine with all other devices
  • I can ping 10.10.10.1, but not 1.1.1.1 or other IPs outside my network
Thanks for helping!

Usually you can't have two interfaces on the same subnet, but in that case truenas won't let you configure it anyway. Is eno1 a member of br0? If so, remove the alias from eno1 and test again.

Other than that the settings look fine to me.

edit: you could check your router, did you use the same IP before? Maybe remove all static IP entries (if you set any) for .102

I have already rolled back the upgrade and re-uploaded the settings, to no avail.
So I guess you imported your config, so this settings should have worked in 23.10.1 before?

eno1 is a member of br0
eno1 is set to get the IP from DHCP
br0 has an alias set to 10.10.10.102/24

It did work this way before.

Based on your suggestion, I changed the IP address on the router's DHCP to 10.10.10.103 and left br0 at 10.10.10.102, and it worked.

I don't understand what's going on, but at least the problem has been fixed now.

Thanks for your time

You do not need to configure eno1 then, neither DCHP nor a static IP.

The fact you assigned both interfaces the same IP will have caused some trouble.
