NAS restarts after unlocking pool

All of a sudden my NAS is resetting/restarting within moments of unlocking the storage pool. The logs don't show anything besides the bootup messages and if I leave the system running without unlocking the drives, it seems to be fine. It looks like a hardware problem to me, but what should I look at?
