I have a FreeNAS unit someone helped set up. I am building a 2nd FreeNAS box and I was wondering how the network would identify them separately on windows.

Is it as simple as naming the 2nd box a different name? Where would I do this?

You will configure the FreeNAS servers with different static IP addresses. You will also configure the second FreeNAS server to have a distinct hostname and netbios name. Make sure you follow the hardware recommendations when purchasing components.
