I'm getting this line showing up in the console:

"Multiple (2) responses received for a query on subnet"

There is no apparent functional problem. But, as it appears over and over, I feel like it's something I need to address. From searching and reading, it sounds like the issue is that the server is receiving duplicate responses from the same ip. I THINK it might have something to do with a jail answering a query along with the server? An echo of sorts..? One link I found implied that binding an IP address in samba would work. Should I bind the server ip address in CIFs config?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a lot to learn regarding proper network config...

What version of FreeNAS are you running? If it is somewhat recent, the CIFS config should have a "bind addresses" field with checkboxes for different IP addresses (under 'services' -> 'CIFS'). Check the box for your host system.

Thank you. It's 9.3.

I'm assuming that I should click both the ipv4 and ipv6 addresses?
