While that is a fancy board it does not support ECC memory. Most around here would suggest a Supermicro or AsRock Rack board.

With that said I know that this board WILL work. With fancy onboard video and all that you could add a HBA into that PCIe slot and be all good.

I think it may be difficult to find a mini-ITX board with >4 SATA ports due to lack of real estate. MIne (a
Supermicro) has 8, but it's micro-ATX.

Supermicro boards usually include IPMI, which lets you access the console over your LAN. This can be really nice if you plan to run the server headless.

Thanks, guys. I realize FreeNAS is too much for me and decide to go for openmediavault.
