Well from what I've read there were TWO distinctly different versions of 9.2.1.2 both having the SAME version due to some bad decision making. I happened to have the BROKEN version also named 9.2.1.2. (don't know whether it's the latter or earlier version from a REROLL *DOUBLE-FACEPALM*). That is some poor software release management. I've since upgraded to 9.2.1.3 and TimeMachine works, Reporting system stats also seemed to be fixed as well. I read up on the GUI upgrade fail from 9.2.1.2 to 9.2.1.3 by others, and ran the extra step of pulling a script to /tmp called "fixh.sh" and executing it before the upgrade to 9.2.1.3. I did my due diligence in reading so that I wasn't victim to the opposite practice of "best practice".

I'll side with "9.2.1.2 reroll is stupid." At the point where you have a sub-sub-sub point numbering system, the reroll obviously ought to have been numbered 9.2.1.3 and the new one 9.2.1.4. Actually I'm not a fan of going even that deep with point numbering; I'd be fine with 9.2.4.

I've starting rsyncing the contents of my non-ECC freenas 8.3.1 to the TS140 on freenas 9.2.1.3 w/ 4 x Seagate 4Tb in RAIDZ2.
System load avg was around 2 with power consumption at ~65W, the mini-tower is pretty much silent.
I'll be a happy camper when this is done (:
