Lost data

Both of my storage drives failed simultaneously, so I lost all my data from my FreeNAS. I have rebuilt the NAS using TrueNAS Core. I have it configured. I went to Acronis (I am subscribed until Jan 12, 2024.) I am unable to find any of my data there to restore. I've lost everything. ( tax returns, EOBs etc.) I've already put in a ticket with Acronis but no reply as yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

It's not clear (at least to me) how Acronis is related here.

I'm not aware of any connection between TrueNAS and Acronis (which is Windows software AFAIK).

If you're wanting to recover from a corrupt pool, you may need software like Klennet.

Depending on exactly what you mean by "drives failed simultaneously" (a very rare thing that can theoretically can happen, but unlikely... more likely you lost a controller or some other component in common to both disks) and your pool structure, the pool may be available to import in the new TrueNAS install.

If you share a little more about your hardware and what your pool setup was, perhaps more helpful suggestions can be made.

I am sorry if i misled you all. Acronis is a subscription "cloud" backup. I backed up my FreeNAS to Acronis. They seem to have lost my FreeNAS data which Is odd because I check Acronis frequently. I had checked within a week of this happening and it was all there. I digress. This has nothing to do with FreeNAS (now TrueNAS).

I have bench checked the mother board and it is OK.
So I continued with the build with 2 WD Red NAS drives arranged in RAID 1.
For the TrueNAS OS drive I am using a Samsung EVO 250GB SSD.
I setup my Pool and Dataset as well as Users.
So I am, sort of, back in business.
If Acronis is unable to recover my data, not sure what I'm going to do.

WD Red NAS drives
I hope those are Red Plus or are at least 8TB...
