Hello everyone,
I am using a linux server to handle users and groups through NIS. NIS-Clients work fine on linux but I am unable to import the Maps to FreeNAS.
I followed the manual and searched through the forums and saw , that freeBAS based systems need a "master.passwd" which my ypserver is not creating.
This thread walks about a patch to get said master.passwd file but I was unable to find any further information about this:
www.ixsystems.com
If anyone could give me a hint on how I get FreeNAS to import users from my linux server it would be greatly appreciated.
All the best,
Hiasl
