LAG/LACP Media Status = Down?

Has anyone successfully configured LACP between FreeNAS 9.10 and a Cisco SG300/350 series switch? I can't seem to get my SG350XG to play nice with FreeNAS. I've tried with both DACs and optics with no luck. Yet I have a Dell X1052 that works no problem. I have LACP working fine between the two switches as well but no go from SG350XG to FreeNAS.

When I add the LAG in FreeNAS it shows as Media Status = Down. On the switch side it shows that one of the member ports is active and the other is in standby.

LAG/LACP is pretty straight forward on these switches so wondering if any one else has this confirmed working.

EDIT: An ifconfig outputs the following and shows that the LAGG (lagg1) is active. However, as I said earlier port 2 on the switch is showing as in standby and if I unplug port 1 port 2 does not take over.

Code:

Were you able to resolve this?

I was not. No matter what I've tried it will always show one port as active and the second port in standby on the switch where as in FreeNAS it shows the Media Status as Down. However, connectivity does work over the one active port. It's jut not really any different than me simply using a single NIC since the 2nd NIC doesn't take over as active if I disable/unplug port 1.

If this is on 9.10.2-U2, it is probably worth reporting at bugs.freenas.org. If you do, post the issue number here.

I too have this bug and I'm using a Cisco SG200-26, so I suspect the problem occurs in the Cisco small business line of switches. I get the same behavior with the active/standby interfaces showing up in my switch. What's more, it does not look like it is fixed in FreeNAS 11 -U2. Any word on a fix?

I don't see where anyone reported a bug, which means there isn't a fix. If you report it at bugs.freenas.org please post the issue number here.

I know this is over a year old but, I wanted to post an update to what I had to do to get this working...
-configure all the ports you want to LACP on the FreeNAS with an IP address
-in the shell, type in "ifconfig lagg0 up"
--type in "ifconfig", verify that all the selected interfaces are showing "active" status and the lagg0 is as well(if it is lagg0).

On the cisco switch, in my case 3750x in stack-wise
-configure terminal
-then interface range of all the ports
--switchport mode access
--switchport access vlan 1(or whatever vlan)
--spanning-tree portfast
--flowcontrol receive on
--no shut
--channel-group 1 mode active
--exit

-interface port-channel 1
--switchport mode access
--switchport access vlan 1(or whatever vlan)
--spanning-tree portfast
--flowcontrol receive on
--no shut

I believe this was all of my steps... Hopefully this helps.
