join domain

Hi, I am new to freenas and here is the info of the system

Hostname drive.algae-farm.local
Build FreeNAS-11.1-U6
Platform AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+
Memory 8089MB

first: If there are any educators out there is there a good text out there to teach the basics. what I am having trouble with is getting a certificate from univention server (desbian 9) stretch samba 4.0. the domain name is alage-farm.local

have tried to copy from email, shell reasonably sure I am not doing it correctly as nothing has worked. can ping each system from each other.

it is difficult to describe the issue as I am so unfamiliar with the OS.

any assistance would be appreciated.

according to the manual it is required to import a certificate have tried multiple methods as stated above. this is the question how do I get the certificate from the domain controller on to the nass system
