Hi,

I've been messing around with FC target mode and wondering what config causes the targets to report "FreeBSD iSCSI Disk Media" to the initiator?

I would like to modify this label in being less generic. I've added something to every comment field within the iSCSI service config and so the initiator isn't getting this info from there.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I found this;

/usr/local/etc/istgt/istgt.conf

Which is were the label comes from. is there a way to properly mod the string;

UnitInquiry "FreeBSD" "iSCSI Disk" "0123" "some kind of serial number"

Is there a proper way (via UI) in changing it to what I need w/o mounting the OS in rw and changing the line manually? I'm all good via CLI but if there is a UI way, I'd rather that route as future config changes or even a reboot will wipe my manual changes etc...

Update;

While I thought I had it, I was wrong. Unsure were this string gets set.
