Is this AmazonBasics UPS compatible with FreeNAS

save yourself some trouble and stick with known brands like apc or cyberpower.

Looking inside the software linked from the amazon page, it's using something called PowerPanel made by CyberPower Systems, which NUT has drivers for (both powerpanel and usb-hid).

While this does suggest that it would work, how well or how much is up for debate without knowing more about it, like what model it's innards were based on and such.

If the device comes with PowerPanel, then it is probably a rebranded CyberPower Systems UPS. I have used CyberPower successfully with FreeNAS. You might need to try a couple of different drivers to get the right one.

There are no performance specs posted, but from the size and weight, I think this is probably a low end model. If you plan to support one computer and a few low power devices, and the power in your area is pretty stable, then it ought to be OK.
