Hi Team
Since I'm a beginner, I have to ask you who can do this with Freenas as your own fingers and hands.
I have previously received very simple and good help, but now the puzzle goes on.

MItt Puzzle:
I have used the following before.

To view my media, I have used my Router Netgear R6400, and through the ReadyShare that is in the Router.
In it (the router) I have connected a WD 1T External USB and WD1.5 T External USB.
This I have been able to see in my Imag 256, through Media and then through Lan in Imag 256.

My questions.

NOW, when I try to look in my Imag 256, I can't see my Freenas in LAN?
1. Is it possible to connect Freenas so that I can still see my saved media from Nas through Imag 256?
If possible, please be kind and refer where I can find info, or instruct how to do it.
2. If that doesn't work, does it make sense to buy a 4 GB Rusbery and have it between Nasen and TV?
3. If I would like to bring my media to my table when I am not home, where do you propose to plug in? (is there any instruction, and where?)
4. Do you have to use / recommend FTP to be able to access NAS when you are not at home? (installation material and where?), or which plug in?

Thanks in advance
Eddie

I don't know your Imag device, but my guess is it wants DLNA, so Emby or Plex is the candidate to make that work.

Also an option, but would need to run Kodi and map SMB or use Plex on the NAS and plex client on the Pi.

Plex. Instructions everywhere.

Nextcloud is the best for that. look at @danb35 's posts.
