I'm trying to get IPMI working and am having zero luck. Mobo is a Supermicro X8DT6-F. I have the dedicated IPMI port connected and lights are showing green and orange so it appears to be active.
I configured the IPMI address in BIOS. Set it to static since DHCP was just setting it to whatever static address I previously typed in. (I'm guessing this is the first indication of some sort of problem).
If I try to access the IPMI address from a browser it just times out.
In Network>IPMI, I have the IPV4 address, netmask and gateway set in freenas to the same values as in BIOS, also noticed it is set to channel 1, which is the only one available in the dropdown.
I tried running some searches, but from my understanding the setup is supposed to be pretty simple, so if I'm missing a step here, its not obvious based on anything I've found.
Using latest IPMI firmware, latest FreeNAS build, etc.
