Hi,
Can I use Intel® Xeon® Processor E3-1225 v6 (4 cores) or Intel Core i7 7th Gen Processor with X11SSL-CF motherboard (C232 Chipset) with ECC UDIMMs for FreeNAS 11.2. I need to build a centralized storage for file sharing for a group of 25 people having mix of Windows 10 & CentOS 7 desktops.

Thanks in advance!!

According to Supermicro specs, E3-1200 V5/V6 are supported by motherboard.
No problem I can see.

The i7 and i5 processors do not support ECC memory at all and are not suitable for FreeNAS.

Do you need a processor with graphics capacity? Seems the e3-1220 would be a better option and cheaper as well. Don't think you'd even notice the .3 ghz difference in clock speed.
