Hi,
I'm planning on having quite a large file dataset (media files) - probably around 300TB - sitting on my TrueNAS. I want to copy these files to an SMB share on the same network which has a tape library attached to it. When the tape library takes the backup, it will delete the copy sitting on the second SMB share. Is there a backup utility I can use that will do an incremental backup of new files added to the TrueNAS share, although it doesn't have the destination files available to compare it against?
I'm looking at various backup or replications options but they appear to compare the source to the destination files, which won't be an option if the tape library is deleting the files after a backup.
Thanks.
