HyperV 2012, SMB3 and Freenas 9.3

there was an old thread I didnt want to resurrect and the poster said their issue had been resolved. I'm having problems, I get an "incorrect function" when hyperv attempts to create the vhd.

A get-smbconnection shows my dialect is 3, not sure what else I could be missing. Can anyone help?

I don't believe it is possible to do this with samba 4.1.x. You will probably need to wait till samba 4.2 is included in FreeNAS (which probably won't be for a while). For reference, see: https://marc.info/?l=samba-technical&m=141376662332519&w=2
